All of Members of the Foundation are born & brought up in Kalsuli. At Kalsuli they have an ancestral house and agricultural land. They adore and have deep affection for their native place has served as a common podium for them to come close. They believe that this place is sacred and the notable progress of Members in the field of education, health, wealth and culture is due to their native land. The inhabitants believe that the ancestral house and land contributed immensely for their development. They learnt basic values of human life and existence from their parents and also while working on fields. That has helped them immensely to uphold their individuality in their professional and personal life.
The common perceptive of this family is the upholding and pursuing of Indian culture which helps a human being to be content and fruitful in life.
They believe that success does not come with wealth, but it comes with good behavior and conduct of a person. This common philosophy connected and propelled them to come together. The world being a going entity the valuable message needs to be spread, shared and experienced with other members of the society. It took the shape initially of a family trust and later developed in to SAWANT FOUNDATION. It will help each of the members to do their best individually and collectively in the social field for the progress of the region.
Sawant Foundation was established in the year 2003 by Sawant Family from Kalsuli Village of Dindawane in Kankawali Taluka of Sindhudurga District in Maharashtra State of India. It was to the weaker and deprived section of the people in the Society. Since 1985 all members of Sawant family meet every 26th January and 15th August and discuss issues regarding family welfare and societal development. The Foundation works on common shared values and principles while adhering to the law of land which governs such organisations.
Our vision is to create an educated, cultured, healthy, compassionate and vibrant society where everyone can lead a happy, contented and fruitful life.
Our mission is to ensure that every individuals and community have necessary support and tools for accomplishing their vision. This will be achieved by convening, engaging, mobilizing and supporting them to ensure that we all have the means to build an excellent society.
